momstown Guelph meets every two weeks for our music & movement event.
We start by sitting in a circle (or something vaguely resembling a circle) and singing some songs that go along with our theme for that month.
January's theme was Winter Wonderland!

The moms all get song sheet with the lyrics so they can sing along.
Many of the songs have fun actions that go along with them.
Sometimes you just have to stick your butt out and do the chicken dance!
(although I don't remember that being in the January songs, Clinton....) :)

There's always time for lap-sitting and snuggles between the songs.
We sang about snowflakes and snowmen, and everything white!
The children all enjoy trying out the different instruments that we have.
This month we sang the 'Snowflake Pokey' and got to dance around in a circle!
That was a big hit with our little musicians.

Once we've run out of songs, the children have time to explore the different instruments and enjoy some free play with them.
