One of our monthly events at momstown Guelph
is Art & Play. The craft and activities we plan go along with our monthly
theme; January’s theme was That’s Silly!
As anyone with toddlers knows, when you put a few of them in
a room together, they’re going to act silly – so the play part was easy! J A few plastic trucks to push around and
they were happy playing tag and burning off their extra energy.
For our craft, we decided to make Silly Finger Puppets. We
started out with some kiddie-sized gloves and cut the fingers off. These were
the perfect size for little finger puppets. Then the children got creative and
decorated them with googly-eyes, yarn and felt. We ended up with some
interesting creations, most of which had more than two eyes!
