This months Tales for Tots we read a great book called King Pig by Nick Bland.
It
was all about a King Pig who not very nice to his sheep subjects. He
wanted them to like him but didn't realize the whole time he was not
treating them very well. He learnt that to have people like you, you
have to treat them the way you want to be treated.
Since
the story was all about
a pig we made a painted pig plate. We started with a small paper plate
and used sponges and pink paint to cover it. We glued on pink piggy ears
and a round pink nose. We finished our pig with colouring eyes and a
smile.
We
sang some songs with pigs in them like Old Mac Donald. We raffled off
our book and the winner was very excited to get his own copy of King
Pig.
