The children started out by making Alphabet Soup - paper plates, plastic spoons and lots of letter stickers!
For those that finished quickly, we had colouring sheets with Alphabet trains to keep them busy and some simple puzzles.
Then we moved to some mats on the floor and read I Spy: Letters. This was our Tales for Tots book from earlier this month; it's such a fun book that it was great to read it again.
After that came a movement game from the Alphabet Busy Bag idea. The kids had fun giggling and 'pouncing like panthers' for the letter P, and 'jiggling like jello' for the letter J.
We finished up this event with some parachute time with foam letters to bounce around. And of course, we sang the Alphabet Song a few times. :)
