To follow along with our February theme of Polar animals, momstown Guelph kids made Polar Bear Rice Cakes at Junior Chef!
Despite the temptation to eat the eyes (chocolate chips) before completing their bears, most of our little chef's managed to create bears with all their features.
We started off with rice cakes, and spread cottage cheese onto them. It was a big deal to be able to use knives, even if they were plastic and not sharp.
Then we added banana slices for ears, chocolate chips for eyes, and a big Oreo cookie for a nose.
Everyone seemed to enjoy eating their bears afterwards - there were no eyes or noses left over! :)
If you want to try this at home, here's the recipe.
