Little Scientists is a regular, monthly event at momstown Guelph. We let our scientists explore and experiment with something different
that fits into our theme for the month.
May’s theme is Wet, Wet, Wet! – So we thought we’d play with
some bubbles… exploding bubbles!
We started out by dying vinegar different colours with food
colouring, and covering a cookie sheet with baking soda.
Then our Little Scientists took turns sucking up some vinegar
with an eye dropper, and dropping it onto the baking soda.
It immediately created bubbles that fizzed up and then
exploded. This was met by lots of smiles and giggles, and kept them entertained
for quite some time.
When they were all bubbled-out, we coloured some pictures of
Mr. Potato Head blowing bubbles and had snacks.
