Following
our theme of Lil' Explorers for this month, we decided to make Kaleidoscopes for
our Art & Play event.
The
children seemed to enjoy the multi-steps to making this craft. They started off
by decorating their paper towel rolls with crayons and stickers. Then the moms
helped out with cutting the plastic sheets, and various papers used.
We
used shiny sequins and transparent coloured beads to put inside and sealed
everything up with tape and elastic bands.
The
end results were very neat - lots of pretty colours when you looked through and
twisted the tubes around. They were a huge success among our little
explorers!
We
ended the event with some songs and games in circle time. If you want to try
