Earth Day: Nature Walk & Scavenger Hunt!

To celebrate Earth Day we decided to head outside to the beautiful Arboretum in Guelph for a Nature Walk and Scavenger Hunt.  After meeting in the parking lot, we headed down the Ivy Trail to see if we could find all the items on our scavenger lists.
Despite the still chilly weather, we managed to find a spider, a water beetle and lots of birds!
After a quick snack-break we were off again to loop around to the Japanese Zen Garden, where there were fish swimming in the pond.
Our little explorers managed to find everything on their lists, and got had fun exploring the various trails and paths.
It was a great way to celebrate Earth Day and one of the first nice Spring Days we’ve had so far.

  1. Create a scavenger hunt list of flowers that she requirements to find with you mom. This is a fun activity. You’ll buy her some flowers or plants from the gardens. Spend you day in outdoors as a nature detective.
