Fern Resort is the Ideal Family Vacation Destinaton

It doesn't matter what kind of vacation style person you are.   It doesn't matter what type of couple or what type of family!

 

Fern has something for everyone, Fern has it all!

 

If you just want to relax by the pool, you can.  If you want activity and fun, there is plenty of that.  If you want a night out, there is childcare for your room!

 

Also everyone can do what they want to do, as a family of five it is hard to please everyone all the time but on our vacation at Fern no one was disappointed.

 

 

Fern Resort is a beautiful location(pic above) with water surrounding you.  The environment is very relaxing with lots of natural areas.  There was lots of beach and two pools to enjoy throughout the day.  It was never too crowded to find an empty place to lay out in the sun or to dive in to cool off. 

 

The play village (pic below) was a favourite of the kids.  They were happy to bid us good-bye as they went off to play with the amazing staff.  The schedule in the play village ensured that the kids were kept busy with various activities which included crafts, Pony rides, bouncy castle and trampolines.  They even had a mini splash pad for the kids to cool off under.

We even had a chance to check out the giant Chess and Checker Boards, the kids were not too worried about how to play.  They really just wanted to move the really BIG and really COOL game pieces.

One thing there was a lot of at Fern Resort was wildlife.  We saw this Brown Weasel as we were walking along the rocks and water.  He was quite fearless going about his business not caring that we were watching.

As well we were able to visit quite closely to this very young family of ducklings.  Mama kept close watch on them and I am not sure how she manages to keep track as there were 8 in all!

We did spend some time at the beach, this suited the kids as it was easy to wade in and out and the wet sand made for some amazing play.

Fern hosts a number of different entertainment each week.  While I missed the night time Hypnotist and magician during our stay I wasn't going to miss out on the Wildlife show!  They featured 5 animals native to Ontario in a fun and interactive way.

As I said regardless of what you are looking for in a vacation Fern can deliver!  The food is amazing and the service cannot be beat!
